I've paid a nominal fee for other online games before, and would do so here.
I'm not sure enough other people would though to generate enough trades to make the site workable though. I think if they did try to go that route they'd have to offer basic functionality for free and premium functionality for paying members. What that premium functionality would be I have no idea.
