I'm pretty sure most or all big theater chains have policies against showing the red band trailers, although I could be wrong.

When I was a projectionist, it was rare that we even received any red band trailers. Although my boss wouldn't let me attach one (this was an independent theater.)

They are definitely used at Regal before certain hard-R movies. Not sure on AMC (I stopped working there as a projectionist before Red Bands dsbman Aug 25, 21:35
