Interesting article. I would put Human Centipede/Human Centipede 2 pretty close to the bottom of the list of movies I ever want to see, and
I can't imagine that I ever will see them, but there's no doubt that his point about a "cultural footprint" is true. A lot more people are aware of these movies than the box office would suggest. I'm also still sad about Britain's decision to ban the film (which I read about several months ago--not sure if they've changed their minds on that since.) Though, as I said, it's a movie I'll never want to see (and almost certainly never will), banning films in general is just a horrible practice.
