So Who Saw What Last Week? (me - The Three Musketeers 3D: C)

First, I can't speak to how well the 3D was because the theater biffed it up. The trailers weren't in 3D, so I said something. Then you could see they put the 3D screen or lens in or whatever but I wonder if it can really be done that fast and without a lengthy adjustment period? (they are using Christie projectors and MasterImage 3D) Anyways so the 3D sucked, but theaters fault or paul ws', who knows?

Anyways, the film was in the vein of National Treasure and Ocean's Eleven. There was a playful spirit to the plot and script, the cinematography, set design, and costumes were pretty good, the big finale was amusing, if silly, specatacle, and even a few good lines. But the problem was the cast! Terrible across the board. You'd think the Musketeers would be dashing, exciting leading men but Matthew MacFayden and Luke Evans may as well been playing wallpaper for as dull as they were. Logan Lerman and Orlando Bloom were bad as well, though both of them at least seemed to be having fun. Waltz should have been better given Richelieu is such a great character to play. Certainly should blame the director, its like he gave his cast no direction or told them what tone he was looking for.
