First publish of the story said that a writer has been hired, and deals were made with Akiva Folsman and Overbrook (Smith's production company) and Will Smith to make the movie.
Update now says that Smith will chose whether the project will go ahead once he has read the completed script. Also says that the film would not be a prequel but a sequel and that Warners is interested in going forward.
