I see it as a longshot still

They're just too far behind the ball to make this a no-brainer. Green Lantern proved that they have no idea how to do these movies, and that was very much an attempt at making a movie that used the "Marvel mold", so I don't know why there'd be much faith that they can profit off of something that would have to be a lot more expensive.
