I have something to say in regards to this, but I don't want people to take it the wrong way.
Islam is not a religion of peace. When Mohammed started the religion he chose Allah as the god for his religion, which was the god of war, out of the many gods that the Arabs worshipped at the time. Allah is not and never will be a god of love, despite claims to the contrary from Muslims. All throughout the Quran, you see things like "if you can't convert an infidel then you must kill him" (my paraphrase). That is why you see all these riots and death threats whenever someone dares to insult their god and/or their leaders etc. Those Muslims who kill aren't extremists, they are simply adhering to what the Quran tells them to do. This political comic may be a bit abrasive, but it gets the point across:
