Guys, a word...
I've dealt with the consequences of saying different things quite a number of times in the past in my life, so I have always been willing to accept the consequences of my posts on here. My frustration wasn't at that, it was at what I saw was a double-standard in how the rules on here were policed. If I'm wrong in how I saw it, then I'm wrong, and I'll accept that, just as I accept that my fund managership was revoked yesterday. I am a little disappointed that I didn't get a courtesy post or email at the time, but I don't hold anything against DMac. He is within his rights to do so, and thought it would be better for HSX as a whole if I was no longer a manager of a fund (which from his reasoning I think I agree that he made the right decision, as disappointing as it is to me personally).
To those who still wish for me to stay, thank you for your kind words and comments, I appreciate them. However, I need to say that (and most of you have probably realised this by now) some of the things I believe personally (and some of the ways I have been taught to look at things) are not popular, especially not on here. I know people on here have asked me before to stop talking about different subjects, and I have tried to abide by that. I confess though that in this regard, I have failed. I have failed to stop talking about different things, and now I am suffering the consequences of that, which I accept.
To RazorHawk, I am sorry that I dragged you into this. I didn't think before I typed what I did. I was trying to say what I believed to be a double standard in the way the site was policed, and I overstepped the mark in calling you out. I'm sorry.
I do really love this community here, and I enjoy the company of the friends that I've made on here, but I feel personally that if I am expected to not be able to talk about certain things then it's only half of me, that I'm pretending to be someone that I'm not. I realise that people may think that is a stupid way to think, but that is how I view things. I appreciate the fact that I have been able to talk about different things in the past, even if people didn't appreciate me talking about them, and to those people who I basically dismissed as "you don't know what you're talking about", I'm sorry, that was rude of me, and I apologize.
I haven't yet decided what the fate of my port will be. I may still decide to keep trading, but for me the forums over the past few years were what made it fun, to be able to interact with the other traders etc. If I do decide to stay, I won't be posting on the forums anymore. I would rather be able to post my thoughts on different subjects on my own website once I get it up and running, that way those who want to ignore me can simply not visit the site, and anyone who does want to read and talk about what I've posted is free to do so. It also would mean that DMac would not have to deal with some of the things that I talked about in the past on the forums here (for the record, I'm sorry that I've said things on here that have caused you strife). Failing that, I would rather simply just not say anything anymore, because I don't want to insult or offend (that is not my purpose on here), and not saying anything would befit that more than continuing to contribute.
I will think about it after I've had some time away (I'm going on a mini-holiday over the weekend) and I will let everyone know on the Life Board my decision after I get back. I will say, however, that my initial inclination is not to post anymore, and that feeling is just getting stronger every second that I think about it. Like I said though, I will think about it, and I will let everyone know my decision later.
