Some things we think we think about this at Delta House (proper thread)

Posted by: DTXbro (a.k.a SenJohnBlutarsky) on Oct 18, 08:17 in response to accountant_4_Jesus' post Does anyone want a $3.5B port? I think I'm done here.

1.  'My fairy tale can beat up your fairy tale' is always a winning argument, and charming debate.  This never fails.

2.  Given our record of taking liberties with female party guests, without apparent sanctions beyond the risible "double secret probation," we can't believe anyone gets in trouble for anything around here.  Seriously, do you guys have any idea what we do with and to your womenfolk?

3.  Why are you so sure, Acct4, that being relieved of a fund proprietorship is intended as punishment?  It might have been intended as a courtesy!  We agreed to manage the Sony Studio fund as a sort of community service, something like the sentence a district justice would give you for urinating in someone's mail slot (not that we would know anything about that, of course).  Seriously, we encourage you to look at the bright side.  No more shuttling between accounts, no more trying to remember which account traded which security or is eligible to make a certain trade, etc.  Think of the extra time this will free up for messageboard flamewars!

3.  Religion has effected substantial good in our world, nearly enough to offset the bad religion has inflicted on mankind.  Crap like this is part of the bad.  Somewhere, John Lennon still imagines . . .

4.  Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

5.  If this is your way of acknowledging that overtaking Delta House was never going to happen . . . we agree!!!

6.  If you would like Otter to argue on your behalf with the management for restoration of your fund management position, he'll do it.  He thinks it would be less awkward, though, if you didn't bring your girlfriend/wife (he can't remember which) to the proceeding.

7.  We think you should stick around.  And you should listen to us.  Remember, we're pre-law . . . or maybe pre-med . . .ah, what's the difference?

8.  We hope you stick around.

A4J, it would be a shame if you left. You have contributed a lot to the game. {nm} tatoufan Oct 18, 00:49

Couldn't blame you. Good luck with things. {nm} hawkfanatic2 Oct 18, 00:57

Maybe up-up-and-away can take another successful port and have another garage sale of assets {nm} blaze223 Oct 18, 01:43

Hey, if he is willing to give it to me, I will be more than happy to accept it. {nm} up_up_and_away Oct 18, 05:17

Sell it it on ebay {nm} mike255 Oct 18, 02:07

You keep taking everything way too personal... slappydavid Oct 18, 06:25

hang in there buddy. Oleg Max Oct 18, 06:51

Don't give up and walk away on 14 yrs of playing because of this. {nm} NOLEAFCLOVR Oct 18, 06:58

Your voice of grace and reason would be missed by me. {nm} forlorne Oct 18, 08:20

Personally, I never did like your constant espousing of extreme anti islam views, your proselytizing, the endless off topic and incendiary islander Oct 18, 08:48

Don't give up! Take a breathe {nm} Deeen Oct 18, 10:06

Seriously, just give it to me. I will give mine away as well. Anybody want mine if A4J gives me his? BTW, I'll miss you around here, too. {nm} up_up_and_away Oct 18, 08:59

Weren't you already giving yours away, bit by bit? DTXbro Oct 18, 10:08

Are you worried that I would pass you?? {nm} up_up_and_away Oct 18, 10:16

No. Should we be? {nm} DTXbro Oct 18, 16:38

Don't leave!! Then the bullies would win. {nm} malificent Oct 18, 09:01

Hey. Step back. Take a break. Relax. Sleep through reset. HH-Mogul Oct 18, 09:50

you did nothing wrong, you should not leave. MrZero Oct 18, 09:57

A4J, don't quit just take a break. You have built and traded a port to be proud of to just give it away; IMHO. I hope you stay. {nm} damenchipguy Oct 18, 10:18

Some things posted regarding Christians in July: {nm} forlorne Oct 18, 10:38

whoops, see below: forlorne Oct 18, 10:48

Oh man, A4J... RogerMore Oct 18, 10:46

I have carefully read his post you refer to, and he does NOT say what you say he said. He merely said forlorne Oct 18, 10:52

'My fairy tale can beat up your fairy tale' -- always a welcome, winning argument! DTXbro Oct 18, 10:57

That's not offensive at all {nm} Steved1998 Oct 19, 15:47

Also worthy of consideration: What President Bartlett said. (link inside) DTXbro Oct 18, 10:58

He's saying it's an intrinsic part of the religion. {nm} RogerMore Oct 18, 10:59

Now that is a book. Well written and reasonable. {nm} websch01ar Oct 18, 11:01

I agree with everything in this post. Excellent analysis {nm} Steved1998 Oct 19, 15:46

I read most of the posts going on an very rarely say anything, but I think AJ needs to lighten up. Why give up 14 years of dedication over. TheMackenzie Oct 18, 12:11

Guys, a word... accountant_4_Jesus Oct 18, 13:22
