the ones that hang for 10 years see will get a tidbit of news and that delays the entire process of getting them removed.
basically someone in the industry that matters to the project will have an interview saying "we're working on that" and keeps the stock listed.
the others that get removed quick were the ones that had limited news fromt he beginning and dead silence for a long period of time, until it is inactive.
