Not exactly true, very weather dependent

If it is real hot, movies are a great source of A/C.  If it is raining, movies take the kids minds off of missing the fireworks.  That said, it is supposed to be beautiful here and the theater is the last place my four kids will be on the 4th.  Other factors are half of the cities near me don't have their fireworks on Saturday and many people don't work on Friday so there may be bigger crowds than usual for Friday matinees.  My kids want to see both ICEA3 and TRFM2 but HPOT* will be the next one they actually get to see.  He who buys the tickets gets to choose.
