Don't kid yourself. You know you were at Take Care instead of Chef. {nm}

BOM has 'Chef' listed for 5/9/14 as Limited... [CHEF1] Oleg Max Apr 01, 10:29

Waa-waa. Poor reviews from SXSW. {nm} Antibody Apr 01, 10:36

Do you mean 100% on RT with average of 8.6 out of 10? Idiot. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 10:46

There are only 8 reviews and AB was taling about SXSW, not RT. {nm} ~JPV~ Apr 01, 10:52

Then name one single negative review out of SXSW. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 10:52

Don't ask me, just stating he was talking about SXSW. Whether or not it's true is an entirely different matter. {nm} ~JPV~ Apr 01, 10:57

Exactly - this is another instance of him saying something without any facts. Which also makes the film seem bad. Which moves pricing. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 10:59

The fact that Open Road just changed the release pattern from WIDE to LIMITED say a lot more. {nm} Antibody Apr 01, 11:02

Did they ever release a statement saying it was wide? Or did you assume and list it wide? {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 11:05

I checked BOM regular and it was WIDE last week. ERC still has WIDE. Antibody Apr 01, 11:06

Ever heard of successful platforming? Maybe that's what they're banking on. The problem is that you're making up negative news. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 11:06

Well, there's also been zero marketing by Open Road thus far. That's another fact. Okay, what I offer was my opinion, not "false news". {nm} Antibody Apr 01, 11:14

Yes, they released a statement saying it would be released wide RazorHawk Apr 01, 11:15

Now, we all know that "nationwide" does not mean wide. But yes, they are known for wide releases. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 11:19

Two linked below. {nm} Antibody Apr 01, 11:00

Lol they're still positive. I'm waiting on "poor" reviews! {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 11:01

C+ is not positive. {nm} Antibody Apr 01, 11:02

I saw Chef at SXSW, it was slow and predictable. {nm} aggie2145 Apr 01, 12:16

And you earned the "idiot" name calling for saying "waa-waa" before your completely inaccurate statement of poor reviews out of SXSW. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 10:52

I read more than a few that called it self-indulgent reflection of his own career. Antibody Apr 01, 10:58

Links? Or were these tweets? I was at that screening and the whole week at SXSW, CHEF was the only film people were raving about. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 11:00

Jon Favreau! Can I have your autograph? {nm} islander Apr 01, 11:14

you were not at the same SXSW as i was {nm} Moviesnob Apr 01, 14:40

Don't kid yourself. You know you were at Take Care instead of Chef. doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 15:22

I was and proud of it! {nm} Moviesnob Apr 01, 15:33

The root of the problem is that you, of all people, is impacting a film's movement based off of false reasoning for changing a film from... doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 11:09

Seems that it's moving just based on the BOM change. It's priced fairly high thus going to go down based on that than any reasoning IMO {nm} ~JPV~ Apr 01, 11:14

Totally get that switch creates movement. I trade based on info like this but the comment makes the film sound like a train wreck. {nm} doitdoitdoitnow Apr 01, 11:16

it looks like Open Road has never opened up a film limited before. The smallest release was opening on 1k screens. skamanfu Apr 01, 11:14

Maybe my opinion turn out to be wrong, but 54 weeks out and ther still isn't a trailer or even a poster. {nm} Antibody Apr 01, 11:17

4 weeks out. {nm} Antibody Apr 01, 11:18

Perhaps just not enough mainstream appeal? RDJ & ScarJo are only cameos. With no trailer 5.5 weeks out, I thought they might movie it. {nm} medusa Apr 01, 14:09
