In fact, the price rise could be mostly due to people covering their shorts to realize their profits. I haven't been tracking how it's been held since the news, but I would suspect the only people going long are the ones looking at its movement and seeing it going up and thus realizing a few points worth of profit before selling again - they aren't holding it long term.
