STAR7 (A) but I generally agree with flaws

Wayy too much reliance on nostalgia. Way too many references/reflections of the old movies, often for no good reason other than pandering. Same flaws as JJ's Star Treks.

Spoilers below-

When they were planning the attack on Starkiller, Han says something like "Well there must be a vent, these things always have a weak spot". At first I thought that must be a joke. But then Finn pipes in like, "Well now that you mention it, there IS a weak spot that we can use to destroy the whole base." Ughhh, cringeworthy.

That said I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy most of the nostalgia and pandering. But hopefully the next installments will be more original.
