She actually said "I can not describe to you the relief I felt when my department was told we were safe"

and those layoffs have nothing to do with profitable movies (they had to do with industry shifitng into broadcast). Is she complaining about Mad Max, which is awesome but will lose money? She just an entilted fan complaining about a bad movie.

It makes sense to be critical of Warner's DC strategy. It sucks. But c'mon - shes blaming him for The Hobbit? Jackson had final cut! Edge of Tomorrow's release? really? If it was really about a bad title, then fixed and its made bucks on dvd, digital, and broadcast. Shes more mad cause more people didnt want to see it. Its tough to make a film like that work (see Mad Max).

I'm biased. I can't stand stuff like this. People have no idea how hard his job is, Hes not good at it, but this comes from a place of entitlement and its disgusting,

Dont turn her in a martyr. Please...

It's {nm} Antibody Aug 12, 17:10

not about insight. It's about the little people that get hurt when decision makers make mistakes yet still keep their million dollar jobs. {nm} Antibody Aug 12, 17:17

Somehow thats become the American way. {nm} tradermark Aug 12, 17:28

how are the little people getting hurt because someone didnt like suicide squad? {nm} Moviesnob Aug 12, 17:32

She was part of the 10% that was laid off from WB in 2014. A few more bombs and another 10% may be laid off. {nm} Antibody Aug 12, 17:45

I don't think she meant Mad Max. There was another movie, Max. Didn't look great but should have found an audience on theme alone. {nm} leo21 Aug 13, 05:08

My point is if she's complaining about warners slate being all dogs, it's not. Mad max was amazing and she's ignores it. Moviesnob Aug 13, 10:19

Patty Jenkins: it’s entirely false. Don’t believe the hype people. Someone’s trying to spread some serious misinfo. Antibody Aug 12, 17:32

IDK, I lend Faraci some credibility as he's hardly a DC/WB homer. In fact, he warned about the issues with BvS. ~JPV~ Aug 12, 18:25

That being said, it will be interesting to see WONDR and what kind of "course correction" was done since it was done before BvS was released ~JPV~ Aug 12, 18:27

Amended to say I liked SUICD, so can't say if they butchered it or not until I see what I assume will be an R-rated cut on home video. {nm} ~JPV~ Aug 12, 18:28

Devin's the same guy who loved the Ghostbusters reboot and blogged about "Ghostbros" for 6 months. {nm} RamsFan2004 Aug 12, 18:47

Don't know if she is legit or not but I the letter was a fair indictment on the WB track record. I don't know why anyone would defend them. {nm} leo21 Aug 13, 05:09

Warner broadcast division is the best in the business. Moviesnob Aug 13, 10:20

Wasn't Devin one of those who was talking about great buzz for SUICD the movie before the influx of bad reviews? {nm} Jay_Beezy Aug 13, 07:00
