My take...
First, I'll note for those unaware, that selling HSX ports is something of an old tradition.
If I was selling a port, I would: 1) make an effort to "sell" HSX; don't just depend on getting bidders that are already on HSX, but, try to spur interest among others that happen onto your listing; 2) Start the bidding much lower -- maybe $0.99 or $9.99, and resolve to accept the price set by "the market." The idea would be to try to get a number of bidders at the lower amounts, and hope that they attract futher interest, and maybe get into a bidding war near the end. If the starting bid was low, you might get a bunch of bids from HSXers, just for a lark. Those might get the ball rolling for further interest and more serious bids.
