it depends on how the film's studio reports box office. if it reports to ERC (hsx official source) thats what it cashes out at. in stubbys..
case, they stopped reporting box office after the 1st weekend. BOM uses other sources and estimates, so stubby kept making money, just not officially, as it pertains to us.
If stubby hadnt reported box office to ERC, but then BOM had it at $2.76, then HSX could have used that number to cash out with.
Always check the box office listed on the movie stock page, or you can ask if you think a film may be cashing out at an alternate total
