For Holmes & Watson? Hard to say. If it’s not good then it’s probably a decent strategy - defer it so it doesn’t lose out in competition with other movies, promote it as “opening Christmas Day” so it feels like more of an event to go see it, less overlap with Aquaman, etc
And if it is good, it’s going to make its money regardless of whether it opens the 21st or the 25th.
