In any event, I was on Sunset the night his older brother River collapsed. We were supposed to go to the Viper Room, where that happened, bu
t opted for some other place. So didn't know about it until we read about it in the paper. (This was before the days of Twitter, cell phones - the entire internet... And we didn't catch the TV news that morning, as we had an inter-continental plane to catch.)
So keep in mind that this guy is the equivalent of Heath Ledger having a younger brother who kind of carried on his legacy... One needs to factor that in, perhaps. Talk about being the new kid in town, but what if you were more or less replacing your own brother who died of an accidental bad trip from an unfortunate drug ****tail? I understand that he's troubled or has issues. Of course, Joaquin has many artistically leaning siblings, but he's the only one who emulated the career of his older brother.
