a lot of people on the wrong premise: They think they'll get the classic, good-spirited romance angle, and instead they'll have something a la Braveheart. Public Enemies was a bit too long, but did have a romantic story. However, Michael Mann rarely makes big commercial draws - Scott's better at that, more bankable (I may be mistaken, so corrections are welcome). Mann skews a little more artistic and male - and wasn't Public Enemies a lot longer than Hood also.. ?

So basically I believe Hood will draw in a lot of people on OW, but WOM may not be too great.. (?)

I think perhaps one will see a shift during the weekend from Hood to Letters to Juliet, as women realize they didn't or won't get their romantic fill from Hood, and turn to the Letters. I also think Letters' WOM will be far better, and it may play a bit like "Its' Complicated" did, in that respect.

Again, an interesting weekend indeed
