This makes sense. Of all the filmmakers and VFX people I've spoken to, a lot had to be done in post and VFX that used to be done in shooting
Like having big crowd sequences, a lot of those were reduced to much smaller groups that had to be bulked up in post. That fight club sequence in Shang-Chi hadn't even finished shooting when production shut down and I'm guessing they weren't able to have such big audiences once they returned to shoot and probably had to bulk those up using VFX. The Flash and Aquaman were always going to be big VFX movies and I also think a lot of the bigger VFX houses are becoming inundated with more work that's slowing things down.
