Its a late reaction, they lost 1m+ subs in Jan in US & UK due to price increases, 700K in Rus in Feb
Considering that they did rather ok on subs count. Their problem is the slowing of growth of minutes watched & the unhappiness of everyone regd the global rollout of the $2/month per new profile scheme over the next 12 months esp at a time when incomes haven't recovered for most people post Covid-19 & living costs are spiralling out of control esp thanks to the crisis in East Europe.
Spending big on a lot of populist substandard repetitive content without Disney's marketing acumen to sell such stuff better (they do it too, just make better returns on it) is leading to topline/bottomline issues in the first place making them hunt down password sharers whom they ignored when competition wasn't so intense.
