It's funny how a couple TIFF premieres just can't get away from each other

Fabelmans and Glass Onion premiered back to back in the same theater on Saturday night... then they opened or expanded into the same number of theaters over Thanksgiving.

I remember not being able to see both The Whale and Empire of Light at TIFF because they were playing against each other. They open the same weekend and then they expand the same weekend. What's kind of ironic is that Darren Aronofsky used to be a regular at Searchlight, who is releasing Sam Mendes' movie. Will be curious to see how many theaters A24 will expand The Whale on 12/21... seems like Christmas is gonna be super-busy with all that's coming out on top of Avatar the week before.
