Cineworld quietly filed today that they no longer are seeking Regal lease rejections at 30 of the 49 theatres on their most rejection list.

Tentatively this means Union Square and Sherman Oaks and most of the higher profile locations on that list are not going to close.

Some of the lease rejections are (becoming housing/misc developments), but yes, the major ones mostly should find new owners.

Still expecting things to shake out one way or the other by CinemaCon in April. Though if they are purchased could be a year to close.

some will close but most (especially the big ones) are just renegotiating their leases. thats all.
