I doubt it. As has been mentioned, JOHEX began pre-DC Entertainment and DC wasn't as involved (if at all)
Essentially, Akiva Goldsman took the reins on this one and Warner Bros. trusted him because he had such a big hit with I AM Legend 2..... clearly they forgot Poseidon.

SDCC push was just showing some footage... I never saw it but I can imagine raw footage was better than the final movie. Jun 20, 11:40

I just got back from jonah hex. it was a bit lackluster, but certainly there have been many worse films that opened better Jun 20, 14:10
