Adam Aron mentioned speaking to TCRUI like two weeks ago about MISS7

Allegedly tried to get Universal and WB to move Oppenheimer and Barbie (probably his talk with Zas and screening of The Flash)

Barbie has commitments with AMC on at least some Dolby screens

They totally should delay it another year :)

Wait... Mission: Impossible opens on July 12 and moved two days earlier, I don't see the big deal

I do think he is going to convince some exhibitors to add back MISS7 in August/Sept, Nolan has an iron grip on IMAX 2 weeks at least.

Plus the guy (Nolan ie) literally shoots on IMAX cameras. Doesn't MISS7 have IMAX from 12-20 Jul?

won't it just be another Maverick sitch? Oppenheimer will get its 3 guaranteed weeks then MI will go back into IMAX when other titles sag

Gran Turismo has an IMAX release August 11th (though I suspect it will only get 1-2 showtimes) and Blue Beetle August 18th and Equalizer 3

Clearly, they need more IMAX screens... or just make IMAX screens even smaller :)

March 2024 is just as much a clusterF*** as March 2023 was. Quiet Place, Kung Fu Panda, Snow White, Mickey 17, Spider-Verse 3

I suspect March 2024 will get a little clearer if strike isn't resolved by September, something can/should move to February.

I'm really curious about how the writers strike affects 2024 animated movies
TheWeekendWarrior

animation generally is non-union work so probably not much

(non-WGA. there is TAG under IATSE but they are largely toothless for writing protections)

Most animated writers are not part oW

of WGA. They get nothing on live-action remakes.
