The original auctions had 1000s on waiting list for cancellations till date of concerts. There were social media forums formed where youngsters exchanged tips on how to get ahead in the waiting line etc. People were taking big personal loans to get to her concerts.
She's actually the biggest star on the planet right now & until last year I wouldn't have known it. I thought K-Pop was nuts (BTS etc) but this seems beyond that. Importantly she's aware of how big her market is. They could probably show her concert movies all year round in halls & I suspect fans would see repeat viewings. It'd beat Avatar/Avengers etc in BO at some point.
