I saw a screening yesterday, hadn't seen it in a long time. Now i sort of remember why....

It has its moments, but it looks dated, it lost the charm the first series had in spades. Too much computer, not enough heart.

Some of the dialogue is less than decent, a few parts were a little cringe worthy. The story between Qui Gon and Obi Wan could and should have been much more. Jake Lloyd would've been fine if not for some of the wretched dialogue.

The "highlights" (the pod race, Darth Maul's battles) don't come off as thrilling as much as rote.

The bad guys typically aren't nearly as smart as they think they are. Darth Sidious tells Maul he'll easily destroy the Jedi. Um, no.
