Fyi... the actual article itself doesn't disclose the specific option IMAX has (IMAX CEO just smiles when pressed about it)

They used to be able to at least, but rarely ever do. IMAX long relented allowing non-IMAX film trailers to be played on IMAX films too.

Cinemark and Regal are the two chains that are threatening not to show NARNIA, AMC is on board.

all three have IMAX equivalents. Most "Imax" theaters arent even really IMAX, they are smaller lieMAX rooms with IMAX branding

Netflix is going to be perfectly fine if only AMC and indies book it. They can blame it on the exhibitors and go "we tried" with Gerwig

I do wonder if the IMAX NUKE OPTION is to refuse to give exhibitors DCP keys to any new titles those two weeks
