It was just "people," which means sentient beings, including whatever Groot is, Mantis, and the Asgardian Sif.  HOWEVER, it was said that The Eternals were not snapped out of existence because they were artificial.

No Way Home dealt with character returning to find their classmates or family members five years older than they were a moment before, and pretty much any identical twins involved wouldn't be identical anymore, would they?.
