. . .I prefer using QR codes over talking to a runner. I order five minutes before the movie starts, like everyone else, so it's not a big deal. The app does suck, but so did reading the menu in the semi-dark, where people would use the flashlights on their phones because they didn't seem to realize there is a light under the table. I dare say that people who have a compelling need for a second order of something midway into a two-hour movie probably have impulse-control issues beyond using their phones. I haven't noticed people on their phones at the two Alamos I frequent. I'm sure it's worse at a kid-oriented movie like the example, but I guessing there would be less compliance at any theater chain with such an audience.
