From top to bottom, this is simply lovely. It takes a little while to lay the groundwork (at first I wondered if this was going to truly work), but then it just start humming along like a Swiss watch, and then it just pays off like a slot machine in the second half. Some beautiful work here. The voice work is fantastic; I mean great. Bryan Cranston is note perfect here, and a truly magnificent performance.
This little film just takes you to a place you're completely enthralled to be at; you don't want it to end. Charming as can be.
It's a worthy companion to the two masterful Babe films. I don't think this film would exist without Babe, but that's okay, it's a wry, charming little fable that is perfectly envisioned and executed.
