With a story by Hart and a script by writer BRIAN BUCCELLATO, the “Casino” segment imagines a very Bond-inspired sequence. In it, Hart is the least likely player to be at a luxury casino in which there is no minimum bet at a high-stakes table. An accidental card player, Agent Hart could walk away with untold sums, and finance a tour that would be unlike anything the world has ever seen. His partner-in-crime would be none other than Academy Award® winner HALLE BERRY, and if the superspies leave the casino with their bounty…then no assassin could stop them.
While his fellow secret-agent has nothing but admiration for some of Hart’s signature moves, she’s the first to wonder if the accident-prone Hart is capable of pulling off such a heist. Discussing his friend’s gracious decision to join his production, the performer laughs: “How does Kevin Hart get Halle Berry? I still don’t know. But I’m happy that she agreed to do it. She plays my love interest, my lady Bond, in this opening. I’m just trying to jazz up that stand-up comedy realm.”
Alongside Berry, cameos include War Machine himself, DON CHEADLE, as an easily-enraged fellow actor and The Hangover’s ED HELMS as the casino’s bartender, who is more interested in sneaking shots than shaking martinis for his customers. The Equalizer’s DAVID MEUNIER portrays Victor, Kevin and Halle’s nemesis at the casino—a man who has every intention of making sure they don’t get to the stand-up show in one piece.
