(Newbies are listening)
The correct wording would have been: The TAG for AHATH has not been correctly updated.
As it turned out, all of the COLSL and other limited movie attachments were not updated, but all of the wide releases were.
For those who may not understand the problem, here goes.
On Monday, the ERC box office figures ar published and are available to HSX users in the News & Events/Box Office listing.
ALL StarBonds attached to delisted movies in release have their TAGs adjusted to reflect the new box office figures. If it is an adjusting StarBond, the movies in the TAG are revised according to the standard rules.
Thus, on Monday (or Tuesday if a holiday delay) you can see the new TAG and plan your changes accordingly. While the StarBonds are halted, you can use the advance broker to sell/short or cover/buy ahead of time, as you now know the exact amount of the adjust.
On Tuesday (or Wed) the price of the StarBonds attached to delisting movies will be adjusted to match the TAG that was calculated the night before.
So what happened this week? Some of the StarBonds reflected the correct new TAG, based upon the Box Office figures. Some did not.
Antibody is human, and errors can occur. Laujer is one of the ones who is on top of things and posts, quite accurately, when the new TAG is not correct, and that is what this was all about. When I find a mistake, I usually find that he beat me to the punch.
I just would like folks to use the words a little more accurately.
Now, an Easter Egg. If you got this far, there is a StarBond attached to a movie that has a new release date in the Announcements today, June 30, and flips the next adjust from a HUUUGE blockbuster to a limited (if it reports>) BONDS had to dump the StarBond.
