with her victory in the NJ primary, Hillary Clinton has presumptively become the first woman nominated for president by a major US party slipping jimmy Jun 07, 18:58

Hillary Clinton has secured enough delegates to win the right to kick Donald Trump's ass in November slipping jimmy Jun 06, 19:06

Technically not yet. There are over 500 super delegates that can change their minds and don't have to commit until the convention {nm} JDolphin Jun 06, 21:40

no, that's the reason AP is calling it tonight. they've talked to the superdelegates and Hillary has enough committed to her to win {nm} slipping jimmy Jun 06, 22:08

they talled to all 500+ ? i doubt that. They probably talked to a representavtive group and concluded this.but unlike on the republican JDolphin Jun 06, 23:19

talled = talked (why do you never see the typos until after you hit the enter key? :( ) {nm} JDolphin Jun 06, 23:20

"The AP surveyed all 714 superdelegates repeatedly in the past seven months, and only 95 remain publicly uncommitted." {nm} Antibody Jun 07, 09:18

The media has always just "given" her the 500 super delegates to prop up her numbers. It's sad how they still fawn over the Clintons. Yuck {nm} Dorfman Jun 07, 04:36

the only way for the super delegates to flip in a way that Sanders wins would be to disregard the will of the voters which isnt gonna happen Moviesnob Jun 07, 07:31

It must be my Missouri cynical attitude where they disregard the will of the voters ALL the time. Money buys the votes {nm} JDolphin Jun 07, 11:51

Bernie didn't seem to have a problem with it in 2008, when he endorsed Obama before the convention slipping jimmy Jun 07, 12:13

thats something different than counting the votes that have already been made. Of course money buys influence on voters, but once they vote Moviesnob Jun 07, 12:39

but in this case super-delegates can change their minds until the convention so money can still talk - But I don't think that works for Bern {nm} JDolphin Jun 07, 12:47

it wouldnt have been really interesting if the GOP had superdelegates this year cause you could have seen a case made for them to vote for a Moviesnob Jun 07, 12:50

In Missouri we've had elections where new laws have been voted in (or out) despite huge money being poured into the opposite campaign and JDolphin Jun 07, 13:14

I used to live in two states that have similar laws (OR and VA) {nm} Moviesnob Jun 07, 13:56

Wait.. So DC can't even have the actual Superman in their TV show? At least with Marvel you had SLJ in their TV episodes. {nm} Dorfman Jun 07, 04:37

It's already been established that DCEU films and the TV-world are alternate universes in the DC Multiverse. {nm} Antibody Jun 07, 10:46
