Every European Olympics has been that way. Innsbruck, Munich, Barcelona, Lillehammer, Albertville, Athens. ABC learned how to do it and NBC has figuratively picked up the torch.
On the other hand, this AM the cycling road race is live....

If you IGNORE pr AVOID all Olympic news, you can enjoy the Prime Time show as if it was new. Sort of like ignoring 0r avoiding Movie Spoilers
Just a word about British TV....Last Olympiad, in London, when Beijing slept, so did British TV. THEY did not have a tape delay, prime time show.

Just because it isn't new doesn't mean it doesn't SUCK. Show the events LIVE. Show them in prime time too, but show them LIVE. Jul 28, 13:30
NBC (and ABC anc CBS previously) try to make the prime time show "as if live" for those who only can watch Jul 28, 22:33
