mass killings are not done by "outlaws" who generally have violent pasts. They tend to be ordinary people who "snapped" for some reason or another. They envision themselves to be Rambo, arm themselves and dress themselves accordingly, and go and play out the fantasy.

The gun culture in this country is out of control. The second amendment was passed to maintain a well armend militia, not for every sad person to have an automatic rifle and be able to massacre dozens of people.

Christie said that July 23, 2012 was too soon to talk about gun control. 25 people die every day from guns in this country. When will the time actually come? Today, Dec 14th? Tomorrow? Christmas? Jan 2 as we fall off the fiscal cliff? Just name the date and let us try to start solving the problem.
