When will a politician finally tell a gun lobbyist: Thanks for all your money, but there is NOTHING I can do for you today. I feel helpless.
Is there a parent out there today that is not filled with shock, with grief, and with anger, knowing that other parents took their little children to school this morning and they are never coming home?I am sickened today by this.
This culture is poison. There does not seem to be a cure.
You know what story I keep waiting to hear. I keep waiting:
"Today a tragedy was PREVENTED when a person used their regsitered hand gun to prevent a crazy person from committing mass mayhem".
I keep waiting to hear this story, but I never do. The only story I do hear is the one we're all hearing today. And I hear it over, and over, and over.
A grocery store in Arizona. In a movie theater in Colorado. In a mall in Oregon. At Virginia Tech. At a shopping mall in Omaha, Nebraska. This is not nearly all of them.This is just scratching the surface of all of them in the past 10 years or so.
We don't hear this particular story eminating from many other cultures. Here, it's every few weeks now.
People are not happy. More and more people are taking meds. Theyr'e mentally unfit. They're physically unfit. More and more people are snapping.
