Puck-Out-Of-Playing-Surface was discussed at the last GM Meetings. Look for it to be added to Review Process.
It almost assuredly will be added to the NHL Rules at the next NHL Rules Update.
Previous concerns were Pucks hitting something or somebody over the Boards and coming back into play. Also, concerns were expressed about Delay-Of-Game Penalties issued where the Puck hit the Glass prior to going Out-Of-The-Playing Area on a Clearing Attempt.
