saw only the 1st episode
first i watched the original cosmos 1st episode (which i dont believe id seen before), then the new one. and i preferred the sagan version, for his delivery (BILL-yuns!) and the Blade Runner music :), and thought the sense-of-awe was better. tysons version copied alot, more than i would have that, and maybe thats why it paled, but it felt a little dry anyways. (tho the story of meeting sagan as a kid was nice) I thought the animated segment about Bruno was a misstep. aside from poor historical accuracy, its imagery was weird (that crucifixion pose?) and perhaps somewhat hostile in its questioning of religion? (questioning religion is fine but be truthful and neutral when doing it)
so decent, but not sure i will catch up on future eps

Even real "space pictures" are cgi. The images are all colour corrected, and augmented. They are usually grey scale. Mar 19, 09:10
