I had the same nit-pick on the music...
It's pretty uninspiring for Alan Silvestri. I did not see all of the original, but I do like Sagan's narraration style a little more than Tyson's.
As for Giordano Bruno, he was convicted by the catholic church for being a heretic during the inquisition and burned at the stake. How is it historicaly innacurate from what was presented by Cosmos? Even though they did seem to portray the pope and all as a bit evil, I think it's justified for the story. This is how the church thought back then! To them, Bruno was the evil one for thinking otherwise. We now know otherwise.
I actually liked the stylized cartoon as opposed to a hokey live action re-enactment.

Even real "space pictures" are cgi. The images are all colour corrected, and augmented. They are usually grey scale. Mar 19, 09:10
