As a South African and die hard Springbok fan, I was absolutely gutted yesterday!
Unfortunately I can't even offer any excuses. We dominated the set pieces where our scrums and line outs were solid, yet our tactical kicking game was shocking! We had more possesion yet couldn't do anything with the ball and kept fumbling it. Our backline also seemed out of sorts and weren't clinical at all.
The only positive is that we needed a wake up call. We can't continue to merely consider the All Blacks as the only real opposision, as there are some quality teams out there and WC 2015 is right around the corner.
The test at Twickenham next week is going to be tough. England would have taken a lot out of that game against the AB's yesterday and I think it's going to be a close contest. Hope we can bounce back.
