1st, here is a cover of midnight rider being used in lincoln car ads. the vocals are good, and i really like the music. car companies are crushing it with fine songs in their ads like volvos use of avicii feeling good last year

then, red hot chili peppers song dark neccesities i really like, but i am wondering what it is reminding me of? really the part from like 0:53 to 1:55. maybe marvin gaye whats going on or mercy mercy me, or something like that? just thought u or anyone may know
