Some thoughts from me...
If you love Divorce, check out Catastrophe, which was co-created by Sharon Horgan (creator of Divorce) and Rob Delaney. Originally from Channel 4, Amazon has picked up the show and is available for free with Prime, and there will be another two seasons.
Haven't seen Insecure yet, but I really dig HBO's other new show, High Maintenance. Each episode is a stand alone story and the only interconnecting character is a weed dealer in New York. The episode called Grandpa I feel is one of the best 30 minutes of television this year.
Better Things is killer, and even though Baskets has already ended, I'd throw that out there as a rec since it was also co-created by CK.
Digging Atlanta and don't really have something comparable to it, but I feel everything the Get Down did wrong, Atlanta does right. I bailed on The Get Down after two episodes.
Other shows I'm digging:
The Good Place -- I have some thoughts on wher the show is going, and what the Good Place really is... So if anyone digs it, I'd love to talk about it with ya.
Halt and Catch Fire - Season 3 (and also just picked up for a fourth and final season) has become one of my favorite dramas on cable. While season two of Mr. Robot fell off, this show gets better with each and every episode. And seriously, Hollywood needs to give Mackenize more work. She just radiates on screen...
Master of None -- The Parents episode was a real highlight and I dug the rest of the show.
Fleabag -- A six episode and done series that goes really dark at times, but I dug the hell out of it. I think it's on Prime if I remember correctly.
and finally...
You're the Worst -- What started off as a show about horrible people has really blossomed into something special, tackling depression in season 2 and PTSD in season 3. The show can be laugh out loud funny at times, and then so raw and emotional at others... Episode 5 (Edgar and his PTSD) should be nominated for an Emmy, but what category do you put it in? The show is clearly a comedy, but that episode was dramatic to its core.
Okay, I lied. One more rec: Transparent. While Jill's show can be a little too heavy on the siblings being horrible people and all of them having a slice of the LGBT lifestyle, Maura's journey of finally being her true self really resonates. It's another show with deplorable people, but if you can get past that, there's a reason why it has been winning some Emmys.
