so here are a few shows I'm watching lately to fill my VP and Broad City (comedy) void...

Divorce (HBO) - only one episode currently, so the jury is out.  started off pretty good though.  it's pretty much exactly about the title itself.  solid casting and some minor shock value... hopefully it takes off, but it might be more depressing than funny by the end.

Insecure (HBO) - also only one episode currently, so the jury is out.  started off pretty good.  pulled this description off IMDB:  Follows the awkward experiences and racy tribulations of a modern-day African-American woman.

so it's basically Girls for the Arican American woman.  I think it has heart, we'll see how it shapes up.

Better Things (FX) - 5 episodes available currently.  this is a jewel of a show IMO.  Pamela Adlon is too funny for words.  Celia Imrie is also quite hilarious.  if you're a fan of Louis CK, this show is for you.  just a great look on life for an actor raising three daughters.  feels genuine.

Atlanta (FX) - 7 episodes available currently.  two cousins, with different views on art versus commerce, on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene; "Earnest 'Earn' Marks," an ambitious college drop-out and his estranged cousin, who suddenly becomes a star.

I'm only three episodes in, but so far this is quite a gem.  really love it thus far.

love to hear from anyone watching these, or anyone that ends up watching as a result.  not sure all would satisfy each person, but theres enough choices there to maybe find one that is up your alley.
