The Constitution establishes three branches of the federal government and enumerates their powers.

Our constitution has appointed the powers of congress to make laws. Congress may enact legislation pursuant to Article I, Section I. The President is not appointed these powers, but rather to ratify approved bills from congress into law, or to veto them, subsequent to an override of a two thirds majority of the congress. Article I, Section 8 enumerates the powers of Congress to enact broad and powerful legislation throughout our nation.

Article II Section 3 of the Constitution establishes the presidency and the executive branch of government. The president shall take care that the laws of congress be faithfully executed.

The U.S. congress has established, and has had ratified, specific laws pertaining to the national immigration process of our sovereign territories. Upon constitutional consideration, it does hold truth that former president Obama failed to faithfully execute the office of President of the United States in preserving, protecting and defending these specific articles of law and the Constitution of the United States.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is being deferred to congress, ... the people who make the laws. TJNFL1 Sep 05, 11:22

Yet, Trump banned Muslims from several countries "like some kind of monarch or dictator." {nm} Antibody Sep 05, 13:42

You mean the restrictions from countries without domestic vetting systems? That national security threat? When did that go into law? {nm} TJNFL1 Sep 05, 13:53

It took effect in June. {nm} Antibody Sep 05, 14:01

The watered down version so restricted that it's basically meaningless? {nm} TJNFL1 Sep 05, 17:31

Do you always pose a rhetorical question on a non-sequitur when you're wrong? {nm} Antibody Sep 06, 10:30

Yes. Dozens of example on this board alone. Main reason I don't engage with him anymore. Incapable of discussion {nm} BSmurf Sep 06, 10:34

Questions promote thought {nm} TJNFL1 Sep 06, 20:26

Discourse promotes thought. Your nonsense and non-sequiturs promote your troll status and are just attempts by you to evade. {nm} BSmurf Sep 07, 09:10

Your teachers never asked you a question in school?....see, promotes thought. Hard to have discourse with people who all think alike. {nm} TJNFL1 Sep 07, 16:57

well then, here's one for you: How does any of this MAGA? Please share actual data, metrics, goals, etc. Rhetoric is hot air {nm} BSmurf Sep 08, 09:00

Can't prove something is "great", if we are both using vastly different definitions. TJNFL1 Sep 09, 06:40

Trump's Stunning Hypocrisy on DACA. contradict his position on the travel ban Antibody Sep 05, 14:08

surely the GOP Congress that couldn't repeal Obamacare will be able to craft a legislative fix within six months tho {nm} slipping jimmy Sep 05, 15:27

It's not that they will craft a law, it's that they are in charge of crafting the law, rather than have it dictated to us. {nm} TJNFL1 Sep 05, 16:45

A deserved end to a magnet for illegal immigration based on an unconstitutional executive order by President Obama. TJNFL1 Sep 05, 17:28

Funny. The Supreme Court never weighed in on its constitutionality. Know something they don't? Of course you don't. {nm} BSmurf Sep 06, 10:36

"We're not just going to be waiting for legislation ...I've got a pen, and I've got a phone." TJNFL1 Sep 06, 23:01

Again, you fail to describe where Obama "overstepped his authority" to a point that he had to be put in check by the other branches. BSmurf Sep 07, 09:07

Congress put Obama in check when they said no to his Dreamers program. He overstepped his authority when he applied it anyway. {nm} TJNFL1 Sep 07, 17:03
