I think people would talk about the players issues more if they stopped offending their audience. {nm}
Anti, on a personal note. I am not against the players issues, or the discussion of police brutality against African-Americans. I am not saying there is not a problem that could be addressed to improve our country. I am not saying players do not have a right to speak from their heart. I am not saying their cause is not worthy.
I am suggesting that if the players want their message to be heard, they need to stop spitting on the anthem, the flag, our veterans, and even the police that guard their lives each and every game. Do police ring the stadiums and guard the players safety because its just a paycheck, or do they really care about the players safety? I would suggest that they care about everyone's safety, including the players that are currently disrespecting them.
I believe that is all most people are saying. If this continues, my prediction is as some others have already suggested. Fans will walk away, sponsors will walk away, money will walk away, players salaries will be reduced, CBA agreements of the future will make respecting the anthem and flag a part of player contracts. Then, players will have to decide to agree, or walk away. The public is not going to care how this gets resolved, but it will be resolved in time.
