49ers coach Kyle Shanahan announced Jimmy Garoppolo will start December 3rd at the Chicago Bears.

(Rotoworld) Jimmy Garoppolo's 3rd career start, and his 1st as a San Francisco 49er. C.J. Beathard's injuries made the decision easy. The sample size is small, but Garoppolo has played well when called upon, completing 65 of his 96 career passes for 708 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions. Even with a depleted Niners receiving corps, Garoppolo should provide an improved QB option on Sunday vs the Bears at Soldier Field. It will be a homecoming of sorts for Garoppolo, who grew up in the Chicago area.
