First, I think you're conflating news and opinion/talk programming. Their acutla news is fairly straightforward. Their opinion/talk, not so much. I am not a Trump defender, I just realize Fox is in business to sell advertising. If everyone else is Trump bashing 24 hours a day, they are all splitting one audience. If fox is the only one not doing so, they get a huge audience pretty much to themselves. The results speak for themselves, and no matter what ideology the decision makers at Fox hold, they are doing the correct thing for their stockholders by maximizing their business.
