If you're fascinated by narrative structure; by the nature of narrative, what it is, how it works, how to develop unforgettable characters, how to put them situations that feel inevitable, when they were actually drawn out of thin air.
I can't recommend a batch of writing and performing more than this whole Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul world. I think it's underappreciated. I think each episode is a bone in rib eye just waiting to be savored. To say these episodes hold up to repeated viewings is quite an understatement.
It's really special stuff.
One of the things i've loved recently about this show is;
It's a prequel; the audience has been watching the characters move closer and closer to what they've known from the previous show. And now, even though there are only a few (4) more episodes left, even the most devoted viewers simply have zero idea what's going to happen next.
Zero idea.
Wonderful.
